Job description

Job description

As our Junior Financial Economic Crime (FEC) Consultant, you help identify unusual patterns such as money laundering or fraud in payment transactions for our clients. As a consultant, you will work for one of our clients (think banks, insurers, crypto-asset service providers and asset managers) and perform checks on customer accounts using automated systems. Under the guidance of senior colleagues, you contribute to identifying, analyzing, and reporting suspicious transactions, helping us prevent financial crime. You will work in an ambitious and dynamic team, that offers you a lot of opportunities to learn and grow while embodying a "work hard play hard" mentality. In our work environment, we combine professionalism with a fresh perspective and a lot of passion.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Transaction monitoring & investigation: Perform checks on customer accounts and transactions using automated systems, and investigate unusual or suspicious patterns that may indicate money laundering, terrorist financing, or fraud.

  • Case analysis & reporting: Analyze client profiles, transaction patterns, and supporting documentation (e.g. organizational structures, annual reports) to draw well-substantiated conclusions, and document your findings in clear, compliant reports.

  • Regulatory application: Apply your growing knowledge of AML/CTF (Wwft) and Sanctions regulations to day-to-day investigations, and learn to translate regulatory requirements into practical steps under the guidance of senior colleagues.

  • Process awareness: Escalate bottlenecks or inefficiencies you notice in the client's monitoring systems or investigation processes to senior team members, and contribute your own ideas for improvement.

  • Client support: Support senior consultants in client interactions, helping prepare progress updates and materials for our clients, while building your own stakeholder management skills.
